This is our ninth year for Blessing On The Bluff, and we are excited to introduce to you Spokane Angles. There are several ways in which you can give back to this local small nonprofit organization. Each year we always provide a large jar by the register for you to drop some money in. Then on Saturday, July 11th we will have a special day where you can come, visit and get to know more about this amazing organization. Find out how you can get directly involved with this nonprofit group. On Saturday, July 11th please bring some school supplies that will be given to a foster child, then get one pound of cherries for free (one per family).

Spokane Angels is a foster care non-profit that was created to help empower children and build sustainable foster homes. They are a community of people that walk alongside foster children and their caretakers by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship. Their solution to the foster care crisis is the Love Box family support program and Dare to Dream youth mentor programs. Programs utilize a trauma-informed, wrap-around service model that strengthens relationships between foster families, foster youth, and bio families.

Volunteers are everyday people who meet practical needs while spending quality time with the whole family building a positive community. They are changing the way kids and parents experience the foster care system. At Spokane Angels they believe in the power of love and the value of friendship and positive role models for kids and youth in foster care. They want to connect people passionate about making a difference in the foster care community to our most vulnerable children and youth who have experienced neglect and abuse and the selfless parents who care for them.

INTENTIONAL GIVING:
Intentional giving is the giving of thoughtful gifts and resources that meet the real needs of a foster child and their entire family.

RELATIONSHIP BUILDING:
A relationship built on devoting time and energy to foster healthy relationships that promote healing through connection.

MENTORSHIP:
Mentorship is equipping and empowering our children to be prepared for adult living and reach their fullest potential.

Their vision is to see every child in the foster care system supported by a Love Box group and every youth supported by a Dare to Dream mentor. Their dream is to open chapters in every major metropolitan city in the nation so every single child in foster care in the United States will be supported and empowered to succeed.
